On és la solidaritat? Turisme i voluntariat al Sud. Aquest és el títol de la taula rodona que es celebrarà el proper 6 de maig, a les 20 hores, al Casal Loiola. VOLPA forma part de l'esdeveniment, al qual esteu tots convidats. Volem debatre i analitzar el sentit de les diferents experiències d'estada al Sud, des de el punt de vista de la solidaritat, del voluntariat i de l'experiència turística. Tot influeix (temps, nombre de persones, projectes,...) i VOLPA, com a única oferta d'experiències de llarga durada dels jesuïtes, vol transmetre una reflexió a partir de l'experiència de 15 anys formant i enviant voluntaris a països del Sud

One of the most significant developments in the operation and organisation of VOLPA Catalonia that has been introduced in the latest year is to dedicate two Saturdays for training sessions for members of the team and the joint of VOLPA. Thus, on 13 March, we received the visit of Mariona Monrabà, psychologist and coach, who offered us her vision about the coaching. Since one of the characteristics of the task of VOLPA is that one of personally accompany to the volunteers earlier, during and after the experience in the South, resulted of great usefulness and interest to discover in depth techniques of coaching in order to adapt them and to apply them to the chore of VOLPA.

The following session of internal training is planned for on 22 May. In it, we will expand concepts and applications in cross-cultural abilities, thanks to Jordi Ficapal, member of the Joint of VOLPA and anthropologist.

1995-2010

Encara que VOLPA va començar el 1991, com a iniciativa dels provincials jesuïtes a Espanya, no va ser fins el 1995 quan VOLPA Catalunya esdevingué una entitat catalana pròpia i diferenciada de voluntariat de llarga durada. Pertanyent a la xarxa de VOLPA estatal, actualment amb nusos a Alboan -Euscadi i Nafarroa-, i a Entreculturas -resta d'Espanya-, 1995 va ser l'any d'impúls definitiu de VOLPA a Catalunya. El curs 1996-1997 VOLPA Catalunya va oferir el seu primer curs de formació en Voluntariat Social Internacional. Des d'aleshores, gairebé dos centenars de voluntaris en formació han passat per VOLPA Catalunya i prop de 40 voluntaris han treballat al menys durant dos anys en projectes de solidaritat i promoció de la justícia a diversos indrets del Sud, sobre tot Llatinoamèrica.

Durant 2010, doncs, celebrem els primers 15 anys de VOLPA al nostre país. Volem felicitar-nos en companyia del màxim nombre de persones que ens han acompanyat i que hem acompanyat: jesuïtes, coordinadors VOLPA, voluntaris, formadors del curs, tutors de voluntaris, representats de les contraparts al Sud, etc...

Una sèrie d'esdeveniments durant la tardor de 2010 serà central en la celebració dels 15 anys de VOLPA Catalunya.
